SETools 3.2 Released

Tresys have announced the release of version 3.2 of SETools. This release introduces several changes, including: MLS support for sediff and sediffx, improved policy list file import/export, and SWIG wrappers for Python and Java.

SLIDE 1.1Released

Tresys have announced a new release of SELinux Policy IDE (SLIDE), their graphical policy development application. This version includes several fixes and updates. Those wishing to contribute to the project are suggested to test the Plugin and Remote features.

Tresys Release Brickwall for Fedora

Tresys have announced the release of Brickwall for Fedora. The Professional version of their SELinux management tool is available as a free download.

Upstream SELinux Release R070322

The NSA have announced the latest release of core SELinux. This release includes a new development series alongside the stable series, with several features and fixes. NSA papers and presentations from the 2007 SELinux Sympoisum have also been published with this release.

SELinux Mentoring for Summer of Code

Erich Schubert notes that SELinux mentoring will be available as part of Debian’s participation in the Google Summer of Code.

SE-PostgreSQL Alpha Release

KaiGai Kohei has announced an alpha release of Security Enhanched PostgreSQL. This is an extension of the PostgreSQL relational database providing fine-grained mandatory access control via SELinux policy.

SEEdit 2.1.0 Released

Yuichi Nakamura has announced the release of version 2.1.0 of SEEdit, Hitachi Software’s graphical editor for Simplified Policy Description Language (SPDL). This release includes several fixes and enhancements, and is now packaged in Fedora Extras.

Polgen 1.4 Released

MITRE have announced version 1.4 of Polgen, their automated policy generation toolset. In this release, support for reference policy has been added, while Polgen Specification Language (PSL) may be used to bootstrap policy development.
