Dan Walsh has announced the initial release of a GUI tool for managing SELinux. This is currently available via yum repository, and will be merged upstream & integrated into Fedora after more development.

Tresys Brickwall Enterprise Edition beta released

The Brickwall Enterprise Edition beta with network management capabilities has been announced by Tresys Technology.

EnGarde Secure Linux 3.0.10 Released

EnGarde Secure Linux 3.0.10 has been released, notably with the inclusion of an SELinux management GUI, with features including monitoring of audit logs, policy boolean management, file relabeling and the ability to download and deploy policy.

SEDarwin Released

Chris Vance of Sparta has announced the first widespread release of SEDarwin. This is “a port of the TrustedBSD Mandatory Access Control Framework to Apple’s Darwin operating system platform, along with a Type Enforcement policy based on SELinux”. The SEDarwin web site includes download and installation instructions for Mac OS X 10.4.7.

SLIDE 0.3.8 Released

Tresys have announced a new release of SLIDE, their graphical Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for SELinux policy developers. This release includes new remote policy development support, where policy for a remote system can be developed, deployed and monitored all from within the local IDE.

Reference Policy 20061018 Released

Christopher PeBenito of Tresys has announced the latest release of SELinux Reference Policy. This release includes a large number of changes, including support for Xen, OpenVPN and several popular Debian packages. See the announcement for full details.

New NSA SELinux Release

Stephen Smalley has announced a new NSA release of SELinux. Details here

This release includes several toolchain updates and bugfixes, full MLS support for modular policy, and preliminary support for the Secmark networking controls.

SETools 3.0 Released

Tresys have announced the release of SETools 3.0. This update of their extensive SELinux policy toolset includes several library and build chain enhancements, and performance improvements.

Beta versions of Tresys Brickwall released

Tresys has released a new beta of the freely available Brickwall standard client and a new beta of the Enterprise client. see the press release for information on downloading the standard client or signing up for the enterprise beta.

Visreport 0.2 Released

Info-pull.com have announced the availability of version 0.2 of their data visualization tool, Visreport, which supports a variety of security-related log formats including SELinux, IPTables and AppArmor.
